Alexia Kelly   PRODUCER

Alexia started her Production career in Theatre, co-producing  "Birth, Death & Everything in Between" in 2004, a collection of monologues, artwork, song & poetry.  She also wrote a monolouge "Lost" for this production. 
(This monologues was published as a short story in " Breaking Free", and was presented with a Highly Commended award
by Pearlie McNeill and Carolyn Gerrish.)

After this taste of Producing, she moved on to work as a Production Manager on set of TV show Dolphin Juice , where she had been working as an Actor for many years.  Here she was mainly in charge of set up of the Comedy Sketches, and of props, costumes and make up - generally putting red lipstick on men for comedy purposes, but all a good learning experience! In 2006 she Produced Animated Short Film  'Tattoo Love', written, animated and directed by good friend Nick Van Doninck.  This film has had a great response and is currently being submitted for Film Festivals around the world. 

It was here that Production Company " Pogman Productions" first found its feet.

"Educating Kevin" came soon after, another Short Film, and in this one she also played the role of 'Cafe Girl'.  'Educating Kevin' has been very popular, and has been a finalist in The Angry Film Festival 2007 , Snowyfest 2007, Homebrewed 2007
& Show Me Shorts (NZ) 2007.

By this time, Alexia became Co-Director of Production Company 'Pogman Productions'

Next came short film "The Lump", which she starred as 'Tanya', and Produced. 
So far for 2008 it has made it into the finals of The Angry Film Festival 2008.

Pogman Productions then went on to shoot a pilot for a sit-com.  This is currently in Post-Production - more on that very soon!

And lastly for 2007 Pogman shot their longest and most challenging film to date - a 20min Action/Fantasy film called 'Silver & Gold".  This was the biggest project Alexia has Produced, and she also plays the film's heroine 'Sienna.'  This is also currently in Post-Production.  Pogman are expecting big things from this film, so again - stay tuned!

For 2008, Pogman Productions will be shooting its first feature film.  So a very exciting year to come!

In between Film Productions, and her other Acting work, she also manages comedy punk band 'The Genuine Hoots of Joy' which involves everything from PR to booking gigs, and graphic design.

Alexia is very pro-active in her approach to Acting, and is certainly finding Producing her own Films & TV Shows is a great way to guarantee work and good roles!  She is also making use of her ongoing love affair with Film, and learning so much about the industry with every project.
